Environmental Policy

We commit to the continuous improvement of the environmental management system and to full regulatory compliance. Additionally, we commit to proactive conservation of the planet, nature and natural resources. We focus our efforts on the areas of our operations that inflict the most significant environmental impact; recycling, purchases, partners and awareness management to reduce pollution and other environmental impacts. Our environmental management system’s scope includes all our services, products and processes. 

Recycling

We commit to compliance of all local and regional waste management regulations and laws. We work continuously to maximize our recycling rate and create awareness on the topic of recycling and waste assortment. SwanIT trains their staff actively about the correct ways to recycle as well as the possibilities and the benefits of recycling.  Together with our partners we work towards waste minimization and the correct handling of waste.

Purchases and acquirements

At the center of our purcahses and acquirements is resource optimization. We purchase and acquire goods and services only to verified needs. All purchases are made using an evaluation scheme that considers sustainability as a whole with the environmental pilar being one of them. Some of the things evaluated once the need has been verified include carbon footprint, used materials, supplier sustainability and supply chain.

Partners and suppliers

We build and modify our partnerships and network constantly and they play an essential role in our operations and thus environmental impact as well. Currently we are in the process of building an audit program for all of our suppliers and partnerships to undergo in the coming years. We demand ethical and sustainable pratices and processes from all our partners and suppliers and require proof of their implementation at operational level.

Transparency and knowledge

We aim to be one of the most transparent organizations in the industry. We look to challenge and be challenged by our customers, partners, employees, suppliers. We want to raise awareness, transfer knowledge and transform the way IT integrates sustainability. We train our personell actively and share knowledge with our network as a whole.  Some of the topics include carbon footprint, tips and instructions on more sustainable and environmental, energy efficient ways of working and living, news in areas of research and more.

Process optimization

We work continuously to improve the environmental efficiency of our processes and service delivery. By enganging in comprehensive life cycle analyses of our services and products we aim to improve our environmental impact in a continuous and thorough manner. This includes everything from the tools we use to remote work policies to recycling and more.

Resource efficiency

In relation to the above mentioned, we aim to continuously improve our resource efficiency. This applies to the hardware we use and purchase, electricity spenditure, travel and all other areas of our business processes and operations.

Recycling

Improve recycling rate with training and improved recycling infrastructure.

Ensure 100% component level recycling of electronic waste.

General

Conduct comprehensive life-cycle- analyses of services by end of 2022.

Non-conformities

Zero environmental damage – related incidents. Increased non-conformity report as awareness grows. 0,5 non-conformity reports/person by end of 2022.

Purchases and Partners

100% of partnerships and new purchases have been formally evaluated through the evaluation scheme by Q2 2023.

Equipment purchases

Per capita equipment purchases reduce 30%, 50% and 70% by the end of 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Partner audits

Develop an audit program by Q1 2023. Audit all partners by Q2 2024. All suppliers and partners have a minimum audit score of 95% by Q1 2025.

Awareness

Employee awareness improves by 20% then by 40% by end of 2022 and 2023. 99% of employees has full score on environmental awareness test by Q2 2024.

Transport

40% of work related travel is done by public transportation by Q1 2023 and 40% of employees use transportation benefit.
